I was honored to receive this award from the fabulous Livia Peterson. Thank you Livia!
The deal is that I tell you 7 things about myself and pass it on to some fellow bloggers. So here we go...
- I'm completely impractical. I've finally decided to embrace it because it's not going to change. I'm okay with it. Sometimes it's even fun.
- I am a chocoholic. It's so bad that my son, has written in the notes section of his iPod, make brownies when mom gets grouchy. At least he knows what to do, right?
- I teach keyboarding and reading fluency at an elementary school and I love it!
- One of my favorite places to visit is Zion National Park in southern Utah. It's beautiful and fun! Especially if you love to hike.
- I would like to travel around the world and with my family. I think it's important for my kids to visit new places, meet new people and learn about different cultures. One day we'll do it!
- I'm a complete socialite, but I also really cherish and need my alone time.
- I hate to carpool.
Now I would like to pass this award on to:

I'm all for bracing your inner impracticality. :)
I hope someday we could do some international traveling with our kids. Mine have been asking about going to Europe and Africa. I wish. Maybe when they're older we'll do one trip, but they don't understand the expense of it all. We can't just jaunt off to Africa.
Maybe we'll bring them to Canada. That's close. :)
Fun stuff! I'd love to visit the southwest - it's one area of the USA I haven't been to yet. I can't wait until my littles are a bit bigger to make traveling more practical;) It'll be great when they're big enough to make brownies too!
Embracing your truths that make you, well, you...is so freeing :-)
And hello fellow chocoholic lol!
I'm a chocoholic too. Hubby bought be a box of chocolates because I was in labour nine years ago today! (And because I asked him to) :-)
I'm going to Zions at the end of March, I can't wait! And I'm a chocoholic too :)
I am a HUGE chocolaholic too, Leigh. YOU'RE NOT ALONE!!!!!!!!
And on the note of travelling- I've been very lucky to travel to 4 out of 7 continents and see so many different cultures and people and places. BUT I must add I don't know A LOT of the U.S.A travels...I for one have never been to Utah or anywhere near there. (Wanna host a girl?) There are different upsides to world traveling but also remember all the travelling you all can do here in the States (for less $$$ too) :-)
Your #5 is my ultimate dream. I want to live in foreign places for months at a time, so my family is really immersed in different cultures. Loved learning more about you!
I like everything about you Leigh! Absolutely everything. Even if you told me you were a closet dirt eater (like off A&E's My Strange Addiction) I would still love you for it...because you would be smiling and fabulous about it anyway! (This is meant to be a compliment..even though its one of the stranger comments I've written lately) ;)
That's cute that your kiddo knows to make brownies. I LOVE to carpool for a few reasons: 1) I feel like I'm saving the environment 2) Sometimes I don't have to drive. Granted my car pool consists of me and my BFF but I enjoy it :)
Congratulations!
I'm grateful that as a military brat, I got to travel a lot. It really does make a difference to see and experience different places.
I love to travel. That's the only bonus to my kids not being little tykes anymore...travel is easier!
I love these! It is so much fun to learn new things about fellow blogger friends! :) I love that your son knows to bake brownies when you get grouchy- that is too cute:) And I, too, am very outgoing. I love to hang with people and talk, talk, talk...but I agree that alone time is important and needed. Thank you so much for extending the award to me...wow!
Chocolate is a force of nature. Everyone succumbs to it.
Congratulations on the award, Leigh! :)
I'm in love with chocolate...don't tell my boyfriend (I'm sure he suspects...).
I love travelling. LOVE it. Hopefully my future children will love it too.
Always love to learn new things about people. ;)
I've been to Zion - back in 1998 :) Definitely beautiful! I'd love to revisit it and freshen up my memory though.
Writing time! ^_^
Zion National Park is beautiful!
Congratulations on the award! I would love to travel more, too. Unfortunately there is no way to talk my husband into it!
Thanks for passing this to me! I've been very bad about accepting awards lately, but I plan to fix that. :)
Congrats. You deserve it. ;)
Thank you for the award!! I loved your list--we have so many things in common, especially #4, #5 and #6. I have lived in England for a summer and France for a month, but that was years ago. I'd love for my kids to see those places and others.
I love Zion! Thanks for sharing these fun facts. :)
Totally LOVE that note your son wrote to himself - A) because he knows it works and B) because he cares enough to want to make you happy :)
Impractical, chocoholic? Me too!
And I'm looking forward to a weekend trip with my sister. :)
I love Zion's too! And traveling with the family is on our to-do list as well. Congrats on the award.
You have one intuitive and smart child -- brownies. Don't think of you as impractical -- that can mean so many things.
Congrats on your award, Leigh! You are such a friendly person, I'm not surprised you're a socialite!
you are a crack up,
impractical & no carpools go together =)
and that park & a world wide trip sound great!
That's hilarious about the note. My kids know better than to offer me brownies even if I need them--because my Bertha Butt DOESN'T need them. lol
I'd like to travel the world too.
packs bags...when we leaving to go travel?? love the new digs girl! cute!
I wish I had someone to make me brownies for me!
Can't you just socialize when you carpool or don't you like the people?
Wait, don't answer. They might read this.
