Hangers... Oh My!

Today is the 2nd day of the Hookers and Hangers Blogfest, hosting by the freaking wonderful ladies at Falling For Fiction!

Can I quickly say, how fun it was to read everyone's hookers on Monday? I loved it! I can't wait to see what everyone shares for their "hangers" today!

Here are a few of mine:

I took off in the other direction and ran, Logan close behind me.

The shouts of the soldiers on the ship rang through the air as Logan and I tried to close the gap between us and the cliffs.

When I opened my eyes, a sea of bearded strangers stared down at me.

All I cared to do was get clothes on my body and food in my stomach so I could go after Logan.

We all nodded our understanding and followed Cerron away from the safety of the cave.

Now... if you didn't get the chance to enter for a $10 Amazon gift card, be sure to hop over to Monday's post and enter to win! I'll announce the winner Friday.

And thanks again to Falling for Fiction for hosting this blog hop! It's been a blast!

"...sea of bearded strangers..." is my favorite too. Is this when she dies of embarrassment on the beach?

They're all good...but that's in no way shocking.
*But I have to ask...is the chick running around naked? yes, get her dressed and fed quickly!

#4 definitely gets my attention and wishing I could flip the page! :)

I love the "sea of bearded strangers" line. I'm assuming these are all men, yes? Although a sea of bearded women would certainly be an interesting twist. :)

Hope Roberson said...

Intense! I'm so worried about them! Nicely done :)

Cristina said...

How can I pick a favorite when they are all sooooo good? :)

Robin said...

They were all good. I think the third one was best because even your heroine had no idea what would happen next. Hanger.

Of course, when someone is actually reading the book, you just want the hanger to be enough to keep them moving along. As in, "turn the page..." so it simply has to propel the action and I think all these do that:-)

Your book sound action packed. Yay for the name Logan!! And my fav is the sea of bearded strangers. That would freak me out. Haha, but beards scare me. ;0)

Thank you for joining our hop!

"The shouts of the soldiers . . ." is my favorite because of the sensory detail, the sense of motion as they try to close the gap, and how both of those build up the tension.

Deana said...

Bearded strangers staring you down can be a good thing or a bad:) Loved em'!!!!

Carrie-Anne said...

My favorite hanger is the second. This sounds like an intense, action-packed book.

Donna K. Weaver said...

At least it was just a sea of bearded strangers. Could have been sharks. ;)

Those are great. Very intriguing.

I want to know who they were running from, and where they were running:)

I'm so intrigued by your story, even though these lines are all I know about it:)

I think this is my favourite of your hangers:

I hope you have time to stop by my blog - I wrote a funny parody of Call Me Maybe :) regarding querying and agents LOL.

These are great! I have to wonder if she's going after Logan because they are "a pair" of if Logan is a traitor of sorts and she wants revenge. Nicely done!

Nick Wilford said...

I can't choose between these! It really seems like you keep the action moving at a great pace from one chapter to the next. Very well done.
