I'm posting twice in one week! It's a miracle! I have to apologize for my absence. I thought I'd be writing but May was full of too much other chaos. However, I am writing now and I really like how this second draft is going! It's awesome!

Secondly... I hope you all enjoyed the interview with Leslie Pugh on Monday! Isn't she great? She is so much fun. I hope you all have the opportunity to meet her in person one day.

Now... I have an award to pass on! This is a NEW one so feel free enjoy and pass it on if you want! The fabulous, Tara Tyler gave me the "Napping Blogger Award!" Ha! So fun, right!
The rules for the Napping Blogger Award are easy:
  1. Link back to the one who gave you the award (in this case, it's ME!)
  2. Tell us what you do to take time for YOU! That might be a hobby, a musical break, a favorite movie or show, sitting outside enjoying nature, or even taking a nap!
  3. Nominate five other bloggers - especially folks you think deserve a break from their routine.
For my "you" time... I like to lock myself in my room with a good book, or with Pride & Prejudice, the movie (the one with Keira Knightly). I also make sure to have a good supply of chocolate and a tall glass of milk. Then I cover my face in a mud mask and enjoy.  ... if only this happened more often!

I nominate the following fabulous bloggers to share in this award...
and Joshua

Now... just for fun... in the comments tell me what you like to do for some "you" time.

Hah, fun award.

I lie out on my sun lounger in the garden with a good audio book and a cap over my face (and usually a cat or two!!)

Congrats on a great award! I love the Keira Knightly Pride and Prejudice too - and it's one of my husband's favorite chick flicks (joys of marrying a Frenchman ;) For me time, I read and read until the book is done. Dinner isn't done, babies are screaming, husband is asking a question and I can't come up for least when it's a good book!

Thanks for the award, and congrats on receiving it! You deserve a nap after helping me with Game On! :D

I love that your second draft is coming along nicely! :D

Me time? What's that? Right now my me time consists of writing. And sometimes reading. Though, when I'm completely brain fried I play video games with hubby to relax. Does that count?

Dana said...

Congrats on the award!

Let's see, I don't have much me time, but when I do have a few minutes, I write or read or watch some TV. :)

Tobi Summers said...

I curl up in bed with a good book and don't move until it's done (or the need for food and/or the bathroom is too great). Or I'll marathon a TV show I like.

Congrats on the award!

*gasp* You blogged TWICE in ONE week?!?!?!?

LOL, Leigh! Too funny. And what a funny award. And I loooooove the Keira Knightly version of Pride and Prejudice... *sigh*

Lego Harry Potter :D

I take a walk with my sister-in-law, Ruth, in the evening to get away from our kids at the end of a long day. It is just us and we get to just talk. Or I lay out in the hammock reading a book or napping. I used to lock myself in my room with a book or a movie but the house I'm living in is too small and I can hear every noise.

Oooo...blogging and napping - two of my favorite things. :-) Right now I'm on a picture taking binge - forgot how much I love it when it's NOT part of my job.

What shows on my phone or read a book.

OH AND EYE CANDY!!!! Man he is my main fantasy crush. YUM. Sorry must try to concentrate now. ;0)

Tasha Seegmiller said...

It sounds like after your May, you do deserve this award. Thanks so much for nominating me!

Nick Wilford said...

Keep up the good work on the second draft and congrats for the award!

I'll have to be boring and say the same as most of the others, but for me it's just reading a good book. Don't get enough time for that!

Lara Schiffbauer said...

Yay for writing, and making headway on the second draft!

I guess I read blog posts when I have time to just be. I'm wondering if that's sad, or helpful...

Leslie Pugh said...

I can just picture you in that mud mask! And sign me up for time with a book and chocolate!

And thanks for passing along the award! Thanks a lot!
It will be so fun to post about this week.

I LOVE that movie!!! One of the few I own! Actually. I might go watch that right now :)

And when do I get to read the end of your book!?!?!

Jenny Sulpizio said...

Me time? Hmmm....anything that provides peace and serenity with little to no noise. :) It's amazing what the quiet will do for a chaotic/busy mama, you know? LOL

Keep writing, Leigh. Go, go go!!!

Napping Blogger Award?! That is inspired :)

"Me time"? What IS that? I can't remember :) Hmm... I guess any comfy place with a good book is always right up there for me. I also love P&P, but I like the Colin Firth version.

Glad your writing is going well!

I like to lock myself in the bathroom, fill the tub with hot water, and enjoy a good book. One of the reasons I'm NOT addicted to E-Books!

Jennifer Ruth Jackson said...

I go to the library and then the little coffee shop in my town.
I get so little time alone that it is nice to go places without anyone else having to accompany me.

Coleen Patrick said...

Dream me time would be on a beautiful beach with a book! Other than that I love to go to the movies, :)

Leslie S. Rose said...

I love to drive through In & Out Burger, and then eat in my car with an audiobook telling me a story. Yes, I get cheese on the fries.

Emily R. King said...

Twice in one week, YOU GO GIRL! I did the same. Crazy! ;)

Congrats on the award!

Peggy Eddleman said...

Awesome! Congrats!!

Me time? Wait, what?

Okay, seriously, though. I don't have "me" time at home, but I have Girls Night once a month. We all hang out at one person's house, and work on projects, chat, or watch something (like SYTYCD or Vampire Diaries). We bring food, and have fun together until sometime after midnight. Me=love. So much fun!

That, or I go hang out with awesome writer friends. :o)
