X-Men!

I wonder how many people will post about X-Men today. It's a tough letter to choose for, but I suddenly had a light click on.

What I am about to tell you may be considered a crime to most of you and I hope you won't totally hate me for it. But... I've never really been into X-Men!

WAIT! Don't leave! I wasn't into them until.... yes... until Wolverine came out. I mean honestly, have you ever seen Hugh look so sexy? I'd take him blades and all! I even like the rest of the cast. Ryan Reynolds... Hello!

Honestly though... I would love this show anyway... Wolverine is kick A! He's so freaking tough AND he's sensitive too! Awww! (go ahead and "awww" ladies! I know you want to.) I love the special effects and I love the action... as well as the love story. Totally intense! Always love to watch something like this!

And, if I'm being completely honest, this show rocks no matter how sexy Hugh is. I love it!

I'm not really an X-Men kind of girl, but Hugh Jackman could make me watch anything! :D

Haha, I agree with Kyra: Hugh Jackman could make me watch anything. I like X-Men though. But I was always into Cyclops, not Wolverine. Brains over brawn for me. :-) (Plus the cool laser power. I liked the cool laser power.)

I haven't seen that yet. Guess I need to put it on my netflix queue. I liked the other X-Men movies, but then I remember watching the cartoon with my younger brothers when I was a teenager.

Yeah, my wife thinks he's hot as well. She has Hugh, I have Kate. We're both good with that.

X-men? what? all I can think of is the picture you had of Hugh on your eye candy thingy.. hmm can you bring him back???

Jack said...

Oh, yes! X-Men and Hugh Jackman. Need I say more? He rocks!

My highly observant nature tells me you rather enjoy X-Men.

and yeah, I posted about them also, LOL.

I LOOOOOOVE X-MEN!!! I almost thought about posting about this, but instead I wrote about Xena Warrior Princess (lol). I am a comic book geek for X-MEN. I just went to Comic Con. :-D You could say I love a lot of minor characters hehe. <3
Great post today, Leigh. I find Wolverine's story really interesting. And Kitty Pryde's. And my girl - Marvel Girl <3 (she's in an alternate universe heheh).

Fun post! I'm not into X-Men, but I can see why people find Hugh Jackman appealing. :)

And he has that Berserker mode that makes him the baddest of the bad boys...and well...I'll just fan myself and stop there!

Okay... I left...

And came back... *winks*

Um... to me, Hugh Jackman *is* X-men. He makes the show. Totally. I mean, Patrick Stewart does have his charm, but compare that to Hugh? Phew. I wouldn't mind playing his love interest, LOL.

Morgan said...

Oh! And Hugh is so awesome in real life. He loves his wife and is very open about it... so endearing!

That's my favorite one of the X-Men movies so far! I'm not even a normal swooner over Hugh, but yeah, he's pretty undeniable in that movie! And like you said, Ryan Reynolds, hello! Except at the end where I pretend that's not even him :) You're forgetting Gambit--Taylor Kitsch hotness and he's a cool character, hope they have more of him in the future. K, wanna go watch X-Men now, have a good day!

Funny how I got down to this part of the page, ready to leave a comment, and then noticed your "EYE CANDY!" feature and the David Boreanaz and um oh gosh what was I even going to SAY here.... !?!

Sorry!

I'm here! I'm with it!

ahem, so yeah...I was GOING to say, "OMG how can you not like WOOOLVERINE?" but then I saw the rest of your post, and yeah, this was my fave movie to date. That nekkid in a field scene was ...noice, but shot from too far away. hahaha. But anyway, I am not a big Hugh Jackman fan, but when it comes to Hugh as WOLVERINE, oh he's number one!

I'll forgive you, just this once.

When did Ryan Reynolds become an X-Man? Wow, I'm out of touch.

Donna K. Weaver said...

Of course! And Wolverine . . .

What is it about him that's so appealing?

Wolverine is kick-ass. I love him and the X-Men franchise. I actually saw this movie in theatres. It rocked. Love your post.

I was the kid who watched the X-Men cartoons. Didn't read the comics. But loved watching the cartoons. So watching the movies was a must when the first couple of them came out. Wolverine was always the bad boy and Hugh Jackman did Wolverine all kinds of justice and then some. A lot of then some because he gave Wolverine all kinds of sexy-back points.

And I loved Ryan in the origins movie. Wait...starting get warm. I think I better sit down. Wait...crap...I am sitting down. Okay. Nuff from me. lol!!!

Yeah, I adored Hugh as Wolverine. And Rogue was always one of my fave X-men too, so it was fun to see them on screen in the first movie.

Kevin Hiatt said...

lol.. my wife is a big Hugh Jackman fan, (and Gerard Butler, and...) doesn't bother me in the least. In fact it works out well because she goes for the eye candy and I get to see all the kick A action. Win/Win. :)

Cassie Mae said...

This is the worst one! LOL. But this is coming from a die-hard X-Men fan who found continuity errors and major plotlines that did not follow the awesomeness of the comic or the cartoon.

Not even Hugh's bulky abs could make me watch it again.

Watch First Class my Leibby. It's fantastic!

You had me at Wolverine...

Jolene Perry said...

I have such happy x-men memories.

The most recent is that my kids' babysitter works at the movie theater, and she "kidnapped" me one night to go see the one with Kevin Bacon. Way fun.

Nicole said...

I know just what you're talking about when it comes to Hugh! I went to see Wolverine when it came out in the movies and then saw "X-Men: First Class" but he was only in that one for like 5 minutes or so. I have "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" on DVD....got it for two bucks at Wal-Mart during their Black Friday sale after Thanksgiving :)

I was going to just link to my previous A to Z "X" post from last year but I decided to just write about a singing group that starts with X instead.

I know what you mean about many people probably blogging about X-Men for the A to Z Challenge since there aren't many easy topics to come up with for that letter but even with tons of blog posts on them, the great thing is that people could still go either way....X-Men comics -or- X-Men movies. Bloggers could also write about X-Men action figure or memorabilia, etc. so even if, say, 100 people blog about X-Men, each blog post among those one hundred people could still be interesting...IF they take a different approach to covering the topic. You know...just like the TV news, lol.

Hugh Jackman is the physical incarnation of Wolverine. I can not think of any other person who could be Wolverine. He got the whole character down perfectly.

Jennifer Ruth Jackson said...

I grew up with two older brothers so there really was no choice in liking the show or not.

I always thought the perfect person for him would be Storm. I thought all the tension between Scott and Jean and him was just... well... bad.

Me too, only watched X-Men because of Hugh Jackman but now I'm hooked.
