"U" is for "Underpants!"

Lets face it...when "underpants" are brought into a story like these, the little boys are going to love them! Possibly some girls too, but my son wouldn't pass this up for anything! We have Dinosaurs Love Underpants and I think it's a super fun book. I wondered a little at first, but ended up with a smile on my face as I continued to read. We talked about Captian Underpants in my C post, so let's take it one step further...

Have you read either of these? Any "underpants" books you'd like to bring to our attention? The floor is yours!

My three-year-old daughter would definitely love them! Maybe her sense of humour is a result of being left with me for so long, lol. She has the books "Pants" and "More Pants" all about different wacky styles of pants - the latter came with a CD with Lenny Henry singing it in various musical stylees (rap, reggae, disco etc). Fun!

Kyra, you don't need the kids, just enjoy... I love these wacky covers with dinos and aliens in Yfronts and knickers! Yay!

Ah, yes!! Aliens in Underpants has a sequel, Aliens in Underpants Save the World. There is also a green alien stuffed toy for the main character. =)

This makes me sad that my boys are past the age to love underpants talk. Sigh.

I haven't read any of those--nor the Captain Underpants series, but I agree, there are some words that are guaranteed to make kids giggle, and underpants is one. Fart is another, I think. Lol.

Oh, underpants, what a funny word! Can't say it in my house with lots of giggles surrounding it :) We've read both those books, love the colorful illustrations too! My son was a huge fan of dinosaurs for several years. One of our favorites is How Does a Dinosaur Say Goodnight? Love those books too :)

I'm not sure if I should be shocked that this is the second underpants post I've read today, or shocked that it's only the second underpants post I've seen today.

There's a picture book about a zebra wearing all kinds of crazy underpants, but I can't remember the title!

Any book with underpants in the title draws in those reluctant readers like a magnet.
