Blog O' Hop!

I wish I was smart enough to type this post with a cool Oirish accent, but lets face it ... I would do it no justice at all if I tried.

In honor of St. Paddy's Day (and be sure to use the "dd" not "tt" because an Irish man would never use the "t's") Mark Koopman's is hosting the "Got Green?" Blog Hop! He can see his awesome interview on my blog HERE. Yeah, he's the super hero, Irish guy that resides in Hawaii. Its not really fair is it? He gets an awesome Irisih accent and gets to live in paradise. I'm so jealous.

But let me tell you about our not-so-exciting St. Paddy's Day celebration.
I've had these awesome shamrock earrings that I sport for the occassion.
I can't even begin to tell you how many years I've had these things.
And since I never paint my fingernails, but ALWAYS paint my toes...
I got festive. They even have sparkles!!!
You'll notice that one pinky toe isn't painted. Yeah- that toe nail is too small.
Don't mock it!
And I usually make green pancakes for breakfast, although THIS year
I'm thinking rainbow pancakes would be cool.
I always picture Ireland like this in my head. One of the big things I want to do in life is travel. And yes, I even want to take my kids. I want them to meet new people and experience different cultures.
So... while I haven't been there yet... One day I'm going to Ireland!

Maybe I'll even catch me a leprechaun!

Now it's your turn! What's your favorite St. Paddy's Day tradition?
Be sure to hop over to Marks and enter the hop!

I know it's not traditionally Irish but the hubby always wants Reuben sandwiches. Corned beef, cabbage, swiss cheese on rye bread.

Do you have green syrup to accompany those green pancakes?

My pinky toe is a shorty too!

Oh my gosh....who gave you the picture of our Oirish family castle! :)

Bowing down to the goddess of awesome blog hop button designers :)

Cheers, O'Leigh :)

Leigh, you are just the hottest thing! LOVE those earrings :)

I went to Ireland this past summer and it looks exactly like that picture (in some places, obviously not in Dublin. :))

I think I'm going to do a whole Ireland recap this next week, starting with Mark's Bloghop on Saturday :) Yippie!

And, can I come over for pancakes??

Yay, love the green toenails.

I am half Irish and my favorite St Paddy's Day tradition is drinking Guinness with my mates down the pub, while listening to some great Irish music!

Cheers, Leigh!

I love those rainbow pancakes! Hm... getting drunk and falling over? I live across from a pub that goes all out of St P's day, and it's fun to watch people stumble from the pub.

LOVE that you said St. Paddy's Day - you rock!

We don't really do St. Patrick's Day here. There are some pubs that celebrate, but for the most part, it's not one of the best celebrated holidays!

Those pancakes look awesome! I would love to visit Ireland with my family too.

When I was younger my mom would make a potatoe and cabbage dish. That's it! Now, we don't celebrate :/ Maybe I'll try making those pancakes!! :)

Leigh, I do nothing more than wear green on St. Patty's Day. :(

Maybe I'll do something different this year...or maybe not.

The fist year I had St. Patties with my husband I made him chicken Alfredo with salad and I dyed the Alfredo green. It was way fun!

You're such a babe, Leigh. Can't wait to paaaartay with you tomorrow! :D

WE HAVE THE SAME PINKY TOES!!

We'll probably do green pancakes. Or green eggs and ham - one of my kids favs :-D

I wouldn't show those pancakes to my son. He'd want them, but has that crazy food dye sensitivity deal. And that picture reminds me of the little farm house in Far and Away.

Happy St. Paddy's Day! :)

Those pancakes look absolutely delicious! Great traditions. :)

I painted my nails green, too, but everyone just keeps looking at me strangely.

Those pancakes look delicious, but they're so pretty I almost wouldn't want to eat them! :)

Thanks for sharing your St. Paddy's traditions. I'm excited to see what everyone else does for the Blog O'hop, too!

Leigh, you are the hottest thing! Earrings and toes rock! And I'm going to be heading to your house for some pancakes. :)

Green pancakes are so cool! My son has pancake envy. He saw the picture and said he wants them. I wouldn't even know how to start!

Fun fun, fun. After reading this post I realized it has been way too long since I had a pedicure and my poor kids never get colorful pancakes (okay, they seldom get pancakes) unless my husband makes them. I am going to try it this year.

Love the earrings, nail polish, pancakes and lovely Irish vista! My pinky toes are both too small for polish, so I would never make fun! :)

I just painted my toe nails green last night!! :) Love the earrings and pancakes Leigh! And Ireland is definitely a cool place to visit--I've been lucky to go twice. I love it there!

I always make Irish Stew for St. Paddy's Day. Corn beef and cabbage is American Irish, the stew is Irish Irish. Love the toenails.

If you love St. Patrick's Day, come check out my blog. I'm having a Limerick Pitch Contest and you should enter!

What a great blog -- you just have plain fun on your blog! Love the green toenails and stack of pancakes!

I'm Irish and cook corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and Irish soda bread.

Love those rainbow pancakes! Don't know how well they'll go with my green beer, though :)

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Cool on the pancakes. Can I come over? I can't make pancakes. lol seriously. I can't flip them and then then always turn into blobs. Happy St. Pats!

Just reading a book, and all of a sudden they started talking about a town called Covington in Georgia :)

You should move there and run for Mayor :)

Oh those rainbow pancakes look so yummy! Thanks for the idea! Have you seen the rainbow cupcakes? I made those last year (took a little effort, but so worth it) and they were delicious! No need for frosting, whip cream was a good topping :) Happy early St. Paddy's day!

I have to agree with everyone, those pancakes are to die for! And can I say how much I love St. Pat's day? (I'm Canadian...that's what we call it) LOL :D

I don't know how I feel about rainbow colored pancakes. Just seems unnatural. But festive. Can't deny that.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day...

Corned Beef and Bailey's Irish Cream. Yummers. I'm dying to go to Ireland. I hear there's an O'Sullivan castle. Since that's my maiden name I figure I should get a free room.
