Bits of Awesome....

Happy Friday Everyone! I am transferring "Bits of Awesome" over here for Fridays! Here are my shares for today...
"Little Brother" (that's what I call him), got married yesterday! Doesn't he look handsome, and isn't his bride so beautiful? It was a wonderful day and we all survived the madness with the wind! WOW - that was some crazy weather, but I love weddings. LOVE THEM! Very happy for my brother. He found an amazing girl.

Also - I LOVE Christmas time! I love it! So each Friday until Christmas I will share a Christmas song that I love! Not only do I love this song, but I love "The Grinch" movie that she sings it for!

And FINALLY ~ I have made it through my first week as "Leigh Covington!" It's been so awesome and I appreciate all your support and all the follows! This is AWESOME, and not as hard to get used to as I thought it would be! :)

What do have going on that is AWESOME? Do you have a favorite Christmas song?

I think the hard part of using a pen name would be remembering which name to sign on all the books for your adoring fans. I can still hardly remember to sign my married name after 13 years.

Congrats to your brother!

Cortney said...

I would confuse myself if I had a pen name, so a week is a huge milestone! Nicely done! :D
And congrats to your brother!
My favorite Christmas song this year is Blue Christmas by Michael Buble. Used to be Harry Connick, Jr., but Buble bumped him down. I love the hip-swingin' jazziness!

My 'bit of awesome' is that I made it into Miss Snark's Baker's Dozen Agent Auction! I'm so pumped. It's going on now!

My favorite Christmas song? Anything Josh Groban sings. :)

My bit of awesome is that my joint project with writing pal Kelley Vitollo went on sub yesterday :D

YAY!!

This means that we've started another joint project.

Also, YAY!!

And CONGRATS to your brother! My "little" brother just got married this October, and it was a blast.

Congrats to your little bro! He and his bride are a beautiful couple.

My favorite Christmas song is "I'll be home for Christmas." Makes me teary every time I hear it.

Congrats to your brother; what a beautiful photo!

My fave Christmas song is the one by Band Aid, but I have an eclectic Christmas mix of holiday songs by No Doubt, Queensryche, Elvis, Weezer, My Chemical Romance, Buckcherry, Jewel and more. I love it!

@Sara - I know, huh?! I totally worry about signing the wrong name, but I still love it!

@Cortney - OOOH, Buble is awesome! I need to check out his version. Great choice!

@Kelly - congratulations! That truly is AWESOME! I'm so excited for you!

@Jolene - WHOO-HOO on both counts! That is totally awesome too! Congrats!

@Emily - Ahh! Awesome choice for a Christmas song. I love that one too!

I probably should keep it a secret, but i love Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas.
But most of the oldies by Dean Martin and Nat King Cole also are great!

I can't stop laughing right now because of Iain's favorite Christmas song. I have a story about that one. Maybe I'll do a blog post on it.

Congrats to your little brother and glad the wind storm didn't affect you guys too bad.

Have a great weekend!

Congrats to your brother and his bride! My favorite Christmas song is Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - the Judy Garland version. However, I love them all. Christmastime makes me so happy!

Leigh Covington said...

@Kelly - sounds like an awesome Christmas mix! I'm jealous!

@Iain - ROCK ON! LOL. I can't help but laugh, but I like that song too! And great taste with the classics! Cheers!

@Jenny - you definitely need to do a blog post on it! We'd love it.

@Daph - great song choice! I love Judy Garland. :)

Congrats to your brother.
The awesomeness I am enjoying at the moment is that dinnertime is less than an hour away and I actually know what I'm going to make tonight. Somehow, dinnertime sneaks up on me every day and I am seldom prepared ;)

Well hello, Leigh Covington. :) You know what's so weird? The song I was litening to as I read this was "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch"!

Thanks for vising my place today - I'm so happy Tara could hook us up. I shall gladly follow your lovely new blog.

Oh, and congratulations to Little Brother!

Finished NaMo, a day early. And though my MS was rejected by one publisher, I've found another one who is probably a better fit, but I'm going to do a bit of revising. Awesome Desert Rose meeting; fantastic writers there, who are so helpful.

Like Kelly, anything by Josh Grobin, though I also love Merry Christmas Darling by The Carpenters, and Silent Night by Manheim Steamroller, and... ooooo so difficult to choose.

It Came Upon a Midnight Clear. Such an underrated Christmas song. What can I say? I root for the little guy.

I'm editing a short story. After that, reading an ARC. After that, editing a novel. Big Weekend ahead of me. :)

Wow. Changed your digs already? I was going to ask you how you got your picture on your header. That was awesome.

Leigh Covington said...

@Ruth - that's awesome! I didn't even make dinner tonight! I was way too wore out. So I am extremely impressed! :)

@Nicki - no way! What a funny coincidence! That's awesome.

@Laurel - WOW - you've got lots of awesomeness going on. Glad you found a pub with a better fit. And love the song choices.

@David - you are certainly busy, but with all awesome stuff! Best of luck to you! And I like your song choice. Good to root for the little guy! :)

@Donna - lol, yes - a change already! I just want to find something I like and keep it. I found that header on a blog background website though and then you can just insert your pic with photoshop. Super easy. I loved it.

Love the new layout! And I have to say that every time I see the name Leigh Covington I smile...I feel like I know a secret.

Leigh Covington said...

Thanks Angie! Glad you like it! And I smile about the name too! It's cool to have a secret! :)

Jenna Cooper said...

That's a lovely Christmas song. :)
My favorites tend to be more obscure, not something you'd hear on the radio much. I think that's because I don't get tired of them.
